PEPR Cell-ID: “Cellular Identities and Destinies” – Call for Projects – 2025
Pediatric cancers are the leading cause of disease-related mortality in children in Europe, accounting for 20% of deaths after the neonatal period. In addition, two-thirds of survivors suffer from long-term effects of treatment, often severe enough to impair their daily quality of life and limit the socioeconomic participation of at least half of them. Beyond their high health burden, pediatric brain cancers share several major characteristics: (i) they probably originate from early errors in cell fate decisions, resulting in lineage dysregulation; (ii) they likely arise during specific windows of embryonic development, when the immune system is still immature; (iii) they involve both genetic and epigenetic alterations; and (iv) chromatin components play a central role.
In June 2025, we launched an open call for projects with the ANR for the PEPR Cell-ID!
Applications will take place in two phases:
- Letter of intent: September 25, 2025
- Selected complete project: December 9, 2025
Funding and duration:
- €5 million in total
- With projects lasting 3 to 4 years and receiving up to €1 million
Main theme:
- Themes related to Cell-ID and related interdisciplinary research
